ABC
"Already Been Chewed"
So, when I was a kid in Burlington, IA,
I was at the park one day with
my loving sister and her friends.
Crapo Park to be exact.
(No offense to Crapo Park.
For it was a great park.)
That said,
I clearly remember them telling me
not to touch or chew the gum stuck
underneath the picnic tables at the park
(or anywhere else, for that matter).
Why?
My sister and her friends explained
to me that it was ABC gum --
gum that had "Already Been Chewed."
And whoever chewed it,
stuck it underneath the picnic table.
Naturally, I was curious.
And so I looked underneath the picnic tables.
Wow!
I could not believe how much ABC gum was
stuck underneath the picnic tables at the park.
It had survived the winter.
Perhaps, more than one.
And it was, at that time, summer.
It was unbelievable!
(I'm talk'n, roughly, the late 70's.)
And so it is with the
Leftist (Mainstream) Media.

They would like us to believe
that they are offering the general public
a fresh pack of gum.
Like a fresh pack of Juicy Fruit.
Or a stick of Wrigley's Spearmint gum.
Maybe some Bubble Yum,
some Hubba Bubba, or,
perhaps, some. . . Bubblicious.
(Can't forget the Big League Chew!)
But what they are giving us
is some repackaged ABC gum.
You know, a pack of
Propo-Gando-Licious.
Well, no thank you.
