Part 1

The journey to, and experience in, (Taipei) Taiwan that came into being in November (2010) was inspired by my grandfather. His inspiration was embedded in my innate passion for history, that is, the never ceasing curious desire to assimilate the facts of the past with life experience and place them together in my mind like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle -- thoughtfully and methodically. And when, facts begin to take form, rather, fall into proper place. . . it is mellifluous. Then, without travail, a metamorphosis occurs. |
The facts flow from my mind to my heart then take root in my soul -- the facts become truth. And the truth must be told. So it is with the artisan who writes or sings or plays from the soul -- what one has deep down inside must come out.
This process has occurred with A List of the "Issue(s)" in that I have sought out to, and shall continue to, pursue to understand the issues with the best interest of our great nation at the forefront while maintaining goodwill in mind of others. In fact, upon my return from Taiwan, as I challenged my inner most thoughts and feelings, it became undeniably clear that the direction I was to pursue was this very thing. . . and so I did. And I did so because I care. I truly care. |
Many of the issues that our country faces are typically highlighted and talked about most during a Presidential campaign season. But the reality is, issues never cease to exist. Issues are ever present -- when one goes away, two or more seem to present themselves. And others. . . perhaps, will never go away. |
As for the analogies: Respectfully, I will be candid; there is no apology. The issues are real. They are important. And, as expressed in An Explanation of the "Issue(s)," the following are welcome regarding the analogies: 1) consideration, 2) analysis, 3) discussion, 4) debate, and 5) decisions based upon them. I will first begin with the analogies. Second, I will follow with a commentary for each analogy. And third, I will write a novel regarding the analogies. To be continued. . .
