(not personally) So in high school (during the 80's) my friends came up to me and asked me if I wanted to go to the David Lee Roth concert at the former Brown County Arena in Green Bay, WI. You see, Van Halen had broken up. Yes, we were all stunned by the breakup. That said, David Lee Roth was on tour with Steve Vai and Billy Sheehan. I was on the basketball team at the time. . . so I had to decline. You know, basketball practice and all. When my friends came back after the show, they said that they were completely blown away by the opening band. It was Tesla. And the album was Mechanical Resonance. A few short years later, I got to see Tesla twice as the headliner. They crushed it live. And Tesla had officially become my favorite rock band.
