A Tsunami: A big wave.
Although each tsunami has characteristics of their own,
that is, factors of cause and effect to be evaluated and determined,
the reality is,
a tsunami is a tsunami.
So it is with the Peoples Republic of China (PRC) and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP):
Communism is Communism.
Three Absolute Distinctions
Tsunamis have proven so devastating (a phenomenon to reckon with) that mankind has purposefully developed detection and prevention systems specifically with respect to them in the best interest of society:

When inputs indicate conditions are favorable for a tsunami, a watch is issued for the probable affected area. Warnings are issued when readings from various tidal stations appear to match the seismographic information. Because of the complexity of the factors involved and a large degree of uncertainty nearly always present, there is a tendency to issue watches and warnings as a safety precaution even though a tidal wave of significance may not later develop. Unfortunately, after a while, persons in likely areas to be affected grow callous to watches and tend to ignore them. (Van Nostrand's Scientific Encyclopedia)

The Cold War ended in 1991. A war against the Soviet Union (USSR) -- the premier nation of the Communist family. The charge was led, (and battles won) by our "Great Nation" in the name of Freedom. Yes, freedom for people around the world and in the USA! And every generation my equal and above remembers. We remember. We understand.
