The United States
as:
"A Human Body"
There is much to marvel about in the world that exists,
much to observe, much to ponder, much to inquire about...
and much to be answered.
But there would be nothing to marvel, nothing to observe, nothing to ponder, nothing to inquire about,
and nothing to be answered without a human body.
Yes, profound similarities between a human body and the United States of America.
One Absolute Distinction
Like a human body, the United States of America has many attributes and consists of systems and parts -- some parts more vital than others -- all working together as a functioning unit. Simply stated, this unit is: "A way of life."
Each system and part has a place and purpose. All are working together to maintain the functioning unit. And all work together in times of illness, disease or injury -- mental and physical. During these times, the reality is, certain systems and parts require more productivity than others simply due to the nature of their function -- the reason they exist. The reason they were established.
Systems, parts and attributes of the United States of America are as follows:
1) People/Individuals; 2) Citizenship; 3) Family; 4) Religious Liberty; 5) each State of the Union; 6) a Republic; 7) a Democracy; 8) Law Enforcement: Federal, State, County, Local & Tribal; 9) Justice System; 10) Private Sector; 11) Public Sector; 12) Performing Arts: Theatre, Music, Dance; 13) Motion Picture; 14) Comedy; 15) Sport; 16) Fashion; 17) Education: Private, Public, Charter, Home & Personal; 18) Charity/Volunteering; 19) the Media/the Press; 20) Journalism; 21) Television; 22) Radio; 23) Financial Intermediation; 24) Finance: Public, Business, Personal; 25) Government: Federal, State & Local; 26) Private Property; 27) Capitalism & Entrepreneurship; 28) Free Market & Free Trade; 29) Science; 30) NASA; 31) Healthcare; 32) Immigration; 33) National [Homeland] Security; 34) the U.S. Military; 35) the Flag of the United States of America; 36) the National Anthem; 37) FREEDOM!; and the list goes on, and on, and on, and on...
At times it can be a challenge, even difficult, to diagnose and determine the source of a disease, illness or injury. And when a disease, an illness or injury and source are properly identified... denial can occur. Yet even further, when symptoms and source are miss-diagnosed or go unchallenged, this can lead to permanent defects. Worst case scenario... it can prove fatal.
When the "news" of a disease, an illness or injury arrives, it is prudent and wise (it is of the individual's best interest) to understand what the disease, illness or injury and source is -- even to the extent of getting a second or third opinion. It is also vigilant to have an eye for any intentionally hidden and negative impacting interest or agenda of individuals whom are selected regarding those potentially lifesaving opinions. And no matter how difficult it might be, one must stay true to the facts:

Facts do not lie. Facts have no opinion. Quite simply, facts are facts. And facts lead to truth.
In addition to external confirmation of any disease, illness or injury, one can tap into "the inner pulse." "The inner pulse is an internal radar that cannot be measured in precise scientific terms." It's basically about knowing and being honest with oneself, that is, knowing one's body inside and out. It's about understanding one's body, mind and spirit. And when one has a true understanding of these things, it is more likely it will lead to a correct diagnosis. It is less likely that denial will occur. It is less likely that one will deny the truth. And it is more likely that one has the best shot of having the disease, illness or injury removed, cured or prevented from ever happening again. Then the healing process can commence.
"Any doctor will tell you that one of the most important factors in recovering from illness is a patient's will to survive -- the refusal to give up and the ability to keep fighting for life and health. What Dr. Siegel makes abundantly clear [in his book The Inner Pulse] is the strong connection between the will to survive and a patient's strong connection to the inner pulse."
In closing, one could, and perhaps will, take this analogy to a deeper level. Yes, profound similarities between a human body and the United States of America.
One Absolute Distinction:
There is more than one human body -- there are many people.
And the reality is, people come and people go.
But there is only one "Great Nation."
And it's great because it's all about Freedom... Freedom for people!
