Foreign Body:  "An object or entity in the body that has been introduced from the outside."
Indeed, "foreign bodies" are necessary and vitally important to "a human body" -- food for the soul.
Or, they can be bothersome or harmful -- down right fatal.

So it is the reality with immigration in our “Great Nation,” the United States of America.

Three Absolute Distinctions

The Egyptians, the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Persians, the Greeks, and the mighty Romans:
Those nations were brought to life and have long since passed away.
      
Then America was conceived... 
Conceived between the idea of, and the desire for, freedom.
And "a human body” was born...
Born on the 4th day of July. 

Then Freedom rang!  

And the American Spirit was christened... 
Christened on "the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven."

That is to say, that on that day, our "Great Nation," the United States of America, was unequivocally pronounced into being. 

Yes, America is different.  It is different from all the other nations of thee earth ever to exist -- that ever will exist.  We are a Nation of immigrants.  And it is the majestic quality of freedom that shall forever-and-ever captivate the hearts, the minds and the spirits of United States citizens and individuals around the world:

The ideology of the Revolution attracted men [people] of every origin.  The appeal of the Declaration of Independence to the opinion of mankind struck a responsive chord throughout Europe, and devoted sympathizers hastened across the ocean to fight for the new republic.  They agreed with Thomas Jefferson that the cause of America was the cause of all mankind.  (A Pictorial History of Immigration)

And so there is no misunderstanding, as Vice-Admiral Milton E. Miles most eloquently stated, "the American Revolution was won almost [now over] two centuries ago, not because of any vast amounts of material that we were able to manufacture and bring to bear.  It is true that we had help from abroad, but victory came, in very large part, because of the inspiration that lies in freedom..."

The United States is about freedom -- Freedom for people!
And freedom is what defines our “Great Nation."

In the bigger picture, the truth is, we are a young Nation.  And freedom continues to ring!  Immigration is real -- both legal and illegal.  And along with the good, so comes the bad and the ugly:  "foreign bodies can be inert or irritating.  If they irritate they will cause inflammation and scarring.  They can bring infection into the body or acquire infectious agents and protect them from the body's immune defenses. They can obstruct passageways either by their size or by the scarring they cause.  Some can be toxic [i.e. poison,]."

Additionally...

A very partial list of items recovered from young stomachs includes the following:  coins, chicken bones, fish bones, beads, rocks, plastic toys, pins, keys, round stones, marbles, nails, rings, batteries, ball bearings, screws, staples, washers, a heart pendant, a clothes pin spring, and a toy soldier...

Some of these items will pass right on through and come out the other end.  The progress of metal objects has been successfully followed with a metal detector.  Others, like sharp bones, can get stuck and cause trouble.  Batteries are corrosive and must be removed immediately.

And there is crime, disease, racism, terrorism and socialism.  So it is the reality with immigration in the United States of America.

          But then there is the inspiring -- food for the soul.

Humbly, in the words of Thomas Sowell, "People are one of the biggest sources of wealth."  Respectfully, one could argue, people are the reason for it.

Yet even more...

Among the vital sources of the skills and entrepreneurship behind first Britain, and later the United States, to the position of the leading industrial and commercial nation in the world were numerous immigrant groups who settled in these countries, often to escape persecution or destitution in their native lands.  (Basic Economics)

Is this not, in part, the case for the immigration of the Mexican people? 

And last but not least, "the United States as a country populated overwhelmingly by immigrants, had even more occupations and industries created or dominated by particular immigrant groups.  The first pianos built in colonial America were built by Germans... German immigrants created the leading beer breweries in the United States in the nineteenth century, and most of the leading brands of American beer in the twenty-first century are still produced in breweries created by people of German ancestry."  (Basic Economics)

          I concur -- for I am from the great State of Wisconsin.  

Yes, the Land of immigrants has led the world in areas of entrepreneurship, engineering, innovation, healthcare and the American dream -- all possible by the laws of our Land, law enforcement, our military and the Constitution of the United States!

Three Absolute Distinctions:

• Food for the soul brings vitality not fatality to "a human body."  Food for the soul is neither bothersome nor harmful to a young stomach... it is inspiring!

• Socialism and taxes are not the ideology of the American Revolution.  "The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act" was both the seed of socialized medicine and a tax.  And we can most certainly agree that neither of those were what Thomas Jefferson believed to be the cause of America, nor the cause of all mankind.
  

• By the grace of God, the "ideology of the Revolution" continues to attract people of every origin.  And it is the majestic quality of freedom that shall forever-and-ever captivate the hearts, the minds and the spirits of American citizens and people around the world.

Why would we want to "fundamentally change" the cause of America?
What change is next?
Where will people have to go in the name of freedom?!

LET FREEDOM RING!!!
